Political

Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) is one of the premier political polling and strategy firms in the world. In our more than 30 year history, we have helped elect over 30 heads of government. We have shaped campaigns and political agendas throughout the world. From assisting Bill Clinton through his re-election to helping Tony Blair win a historic third term, at PSB we know that every successful campaign has the same constant at its heart: the ability to deliver the right message to the right voters in the right way.

PSB works with clients on all aspects of their campaigns, whether the task at hand is governing the United States or winning a critical local referendum. PSB can help you:

Monitor the public’s perceptions of  your candidate or issue
Identify emerging problems and opportunities early
Prioritize and refine policy initiatives
Develop new issues
Craft an effective messaging framework
Develop successful responses to opposition attacks
Create ads that work seamlessly with your message and cut through the noise

One of PSB’s differentiators is our ability to target voters in the most sophisticated possible way. In 1995, we pioneered the PSB Neuropersonality segmentation for President Bill Clinton. We used psychographic, behavioral, political and attitudinal data to identify key segments like “soccer moms” that are now widely accepted as the key to his second election.  President Clinton increased his share of soccer mom’s vote 13 points, from 39% in 1992 to 52% in 1996. In 2005, we created PSB’s Microtargeting segmentation, which we have used successfully for such clients as NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who won re-election by 20% – in a city where Democrats outnumber Republicans six to one.

PSB offers a full set of political services, ranging from issue advocacy to television production to complete campaign management.  And through nearly 200 political campaigns in countries ranging from Aruba to Italy to Yugoslavia, PSB has a win rate of nearly 75%. That’s why we call it Winning Knowledge™.
